Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts — Where Creativity Takes Center Stage

by The Publisher

Nestled in the heart of the San Juan Mountains, the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts (PSCA) has become a lively and creative hub in Southwest Colorado. In this place, the performing arts flourish with community, imagination, and joy. What started as a local dream is now a year-round cultural centerpiece, home to the award-winning Thingamajig Theatre Company. This professional troupe delivers Broadway-quality performances in this intimate mountain venue.

This fall, the Center’s stage shines with a lineup that perfectly captures its creative spirit. On Wednesday, November 12, Thingamajig presents a special one-night concert, “Triple Threats & Thin Walls.” The evening features three of the company’s dynamic performers—Trevor Brown, Samantha Luck, and Ellie O’Hara—who turn their New York apartment sing-alongs into a heartfelt and hilarious performance about friendship, ambition, and finding your voice in the chaos of city life. It’s musical storytelling at its most joyful—intimate, witty, and full of heart. Tickets range from $27 to $48, and audiences can expect a cabaret-style concert that feels both spontaneous and refined, a perfect midweek spark of creativity.

Just a few days later, on November 15 and 16, PSCA’s stage transforms for Terrence McNally’s “Master Class,” a bold and beautiful exploration of artistry, fame, and vulnerability. Inspired by the legendary soprano Maria Callas, the play blurs the line between performance and confession as Callas teaches a master class to young singers—while confronting her own memories and regrets. It’s a show about the cost of greatness and the humanity behind the legend, performed with the precision and emotional fire for which Thingamajig is known.

The Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts is as unique as the performances it hosts. Built for intimacy and connection, the theater’s close setting pulls audiences into the story—every song, line, and pause feels immediate and alive. It’s a space where the energy between artist and audience flows both ways, creating moments that linger long after the curtain drops.
